About EVP Firewise
EVP Firewise, Inc. is affiliated with the national Firewise Communities organization, and serves to provide educational material to EVP owners on home and property maintenance practices to reduce fuel load and fire risk, and readiness in case of an active fire.
• EVP Firewise organizes periodic community workdays to remove excess brush and flood debris from EVP properties and forest service areas adjacent to EVP, as well as coordinate with the US Forest Service, Gila County, and the EVP Fire District (aka “Fire Board) to promote fire safety.
• Firewise is supported by voluntary donations. Donate to EVP Firewise at the link below. EVP Firewise is a 501c3 organization. Your donations are tax deductible.
• Having an active Firewise organization in our community is recognized by the Insurance Institute for Business and Home Safety as a key element of fire risk reduction in wildland communities, which helps reduce your insurance premiums for your EVP property.
• Firewise EVP is an all-volunteer organization. Please volunteer for the Firewise workdays, and as a member of the Firewise staff.
